Romag – Fancy Glass

I’ve called this article fancy glass, but ‘fancy’ doesn’t really capture what Romag is about. Romag is an English company from Country Durham that has been making several kinds of very special glass.

The first type of glass I’d like to mention is Romag’s Solar PV installation. Romag isn’t just a manufacturer that reproduces other people’s ideas; they design and innovate in a way most companies can only aspire towards. Another of Romag’s product’s I’d like to discuss is their special, toughened glass.  It might seem a little hum-drum next to the solar panels and some of Romag’s other specialist products, but the applications are so useful I feel it deserves a little attention. What impressed me about the toughened glass most is the rigorous tests it undergoes to ensure it is of the highest quality. This is because it usually used for safety purposes and the standards must be perfect. Romag produce all kinds of safety glass, with anything from architectural glass to bullet proof and blast resistant glass.
