Cyber Monday was the biggest online shopping day in US history with $3.39B in sales



A record-setting $3.39 billion dollars was spent on Monday—a 10.2 percent increase from the amount spent in 2015.
 

Though the holiday for online shoppers saw a significant bump from the year prior, it only narrowly surpassed this year’s Black Friday in online sales. $3.34 billion was spent by online shoppers on Black Friday.

The analysis from Adobe is based on aggregated and anonymous data collected from more than 23 billion visits to retail websites. According to Adobe, it measures 80 percent of all online transactions from the top 100 U.S. retailers, and produces some detailed insights about online shopping habits.
