Clips by Apple - A new iOS app for making and sharing fun social videos

This morning, Apple (unexpectedly) announced its take on "Stories", a new social camera app called Clips.

While its Prisma-like video filters and explosive emojis look fun, Apple doesn't have the best track record building social software (remember Ping?). But could this be the next big "Stories" app, rivaling Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook?

Clips recognizes who’s in your videos and makes smart suggestions for sharing. Just tap a name to send your video using Messages.
