AliExpress Expands Local Program for U.S. Sellers With New Marketplace Model & Seamless Integration

AliExpress, the global online retail marketplace, is expanding its AliExpressLocal program with the introduction of the AliExpressLocal Marketplace model and advanced integration tools. These updates provide greater flexibility and operational efficiency for U.S. sellers, reinforcing AliExpress’ commitment to merchant success as the platform marks its 15th anniversary.

In October 2024, AliExpress launched AliExpressLocal Direct, opening the platform to U.S. merchants for the first time. Now, with the addition of the Marketplace model, AliExpressLocal offers two distinct selling options, allowing businesses to choose the approach that best aligns with their goals.


The Upgraded AliExpressLocal Program


  • AliExpressLocal Marketplace: A self-service model that gives sellers complete control over pricing, marketing, and merchandising. Sellers can also access powerful tools, including sales analytics, personalized post-purchase emails, and control over minimum advertised prices (MAP).
  • AliExpressLocal Direct: A hands-on model where AliExpress assists merchants with marketing and merchandising at no extra cost, along with tools for price management and customer support.


Both models include a three-month free trial, one-on-one onboarding, and shop launch assistance. Sellers also benefit from inventory management and order fulfillment tools, streamlining their operations.


Seamless Integration for Sellers


AliExpress is also introducing two integration options:


  • AliExpress Open API: Enables SaaS platforms to directly integrate with AliExpress for automated product listings, real-time inventory updates, pricing adjustments, and order management.
  • Third-Party Software Vendor (ISV): Designed for sellers using third-party software solutions to enhance automation and efficiency.

These integration tools help reduce manual work, minimize errors, and provide sellers with accurate data to manage their businesses more effectively.
