Google's First Ever Office (1998)

Google began in a small garage in Menlo Park in 1998.

Co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin rented this 2,000 sq ft space after moving out of their basem
ent office. In the garage, they set up simple workstations and servers where Page, Brin, and a few friends worked on coding projects, surrounded by Diet Coke and exercise balls.

Despite the limited space, this relaxed startup atmosphere encouraged long hours and led to Google’s early innovative work. Within a year, they needed more space than the garage provided, but it remains a symbol of Google’s humble beginnings and creativity.
